Writing from Sources

Directions:
Closely read ten articles provided and write an evidence-based argument on the
topic below:
Your task: Carefully read the articles provided. Then, using
evidence from at least three of the texts AND The Alchemist, write a
well-developed argument about the topic above (4-5 pages). Clearly establish your claim, distinguish
your claim from an alternate or opposing claims, and use specific and relevant
evidence from at least three of the articles and the novel to develop your
argument. Do not simply summarize each text.
Guidelines:

opposing claims.

Use specific, relevant and sufficient evidence
from at least THREE of the texts AND The Alchemist to develop your
argument.
·
Identify the source that you reference using MLA
format . For example: Author’s last name page number (Coelho 127).
·
Organize your ideas in a cohesive and coherent
manner.
·
Maintain a formal style of writing.
·
Follow the conventions of standard written
English.
·
Must be 4-5 pages.
·
Due Wednesday, June 11th.
