Identify a topic brought up in the reading that is currently being debated and discussed in a variety of media at the local, national and global levels - here are some examples for consideration:
Anxieties of Suburbia People in the masses

You have 2 main choices for the type of research paper you will write.
Option 1 - critical analysis essay - develop an argument about Bradbury's view on the topic (what is seems to be - not whether you agree with him) based on close analysis of the text, and incorporating supporting/refuting material from outside sources.
Option 2 - documented argument - use a close analysis of Bradbury's story and what he suggests about a topic as a point of entry to your own documented argument about some aspect of one of the topics - take your own position only after thoroughly researching the topic and considering the arguments already out there.
Guidelines
Use one or two of the stories from The Martian Chronicles
must use at least 3 outside sources - 1 must a scholarly journal article/critical analysis essay
other sources can be books, credible Web sources, magazine or newspaper articles or an interview with an expert
